HOWL-O-WEEN 2016

It's that time of the year when we get to dress up our furry companions. Sue Christmas is organizing this year's dog parade at Renaissance (thank you). Please contact her if you are interested in participating and whether or not your children (four legged and otherwise) will be attending.

Sue will meet the participants at the park at 1:30pm on October 29 and the parade will start at 2:00 pm.

Potluck-style BBQ at the park

Summer is upon us and few things are better in life than food, drink and great company. Please join us for our first BBQ at the park.

We have made arrangements to have the cooking and eating parts of Saturday's BBQ outside of the park, on the vacant lot next door. Dogs will not be allowed in this area however the Dog Park will be open as usual during the BBQ for people who need it to exercise their dogs. Dogs are not to be left unattended in the park while you come to the BBQ. Kids are welcome. Renaissance Staff are also invited to join us in order to promote stronger links to our landlord.

Burgers (beef and veggie) will be provided. BYOB. Please sign up to bring a side dish to share and bring any outdoor games you might want to play. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you all better.

Philly Loves PAWS Day

BENEFITING: PHILADELPHIA ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY

EVENT: Saving Pets Challenge 2015

THE STORY:

PAWS is Philadelphia’s largest no-kill shelter and is working to make Philadelphia a no-kill city. Each year, we rescue thousands of homeless animals and match them with loving adoptive and foster homes. We also operate two high-volume, low-cost clinics, giving disadvantaged pet owners and rescue organizations access to affordable spay/neuter surgery and basic veterinary care. Serving more than 24,000 animals annually, the clinics enable pets to remain cherished family members rather than face abandonment and prevent the birth of countless litters.

PAWS will serve more animals in 2015 than ever before, and we are 100% donor funded. Our lifesaving efforts depend entirely on the generosity of our supporters. Please join us in making Philadelphia a safer place for the most vulnerable pets. They won't make it without you.

Monday, May 20: join us for Philly Loves PAWS DayShop and dine at participating businesses and 10% of your purchase will be donated to PAWS.

**If you are making a donation in honor or memory of someone, PAWS can send a greeting card to inform your loved one of your generosity. After donating, please email giving@phillypaws.org with their mailing information.**
